Due to the discontinuation of co-brand program with Bank of Maharashtra, the existing co-branded cards will stand deactivated, and you will be provided a new SBI Credit Card that has similar value proposition and benefits. A communication will be released via Mailers and SMS for this change.
In case you are not eligible for an SBI Credit Card (basis SBI Card internal policies), you will need to clear the Total Outstanding amount and close the card account to avoid any adverse impact on your credit score. A prior communication will be released via Mailers & SMS with the due date to clear the outstanding amount. Post clearance of dues, you can apply for a new SBI Credit Card to continue relationship with SBI Card.
There will be no change in any feature on your card. You will continue to enjoy the same benefits/features on your new SBI Credit Card as it is of the same value proposition as your now-discontinued Bank of Maharashtra - SBI Credit Card.
All accumulated Reward Points would be transferred to your new card account after this change. Once your new SBI Credit Card account is active, lien on FD would be removed by the Bank post completion of internal formalities.
However, in case you are not eligible to get a new card, the Total Outstanding on your Bank of Maharashtra - SBI Credit Card needs to be cleared as per due date. in case of non-payment of dues, lien on FD would be revoked for recovery of dues.
The requisite communication depicting the above information will be sent via SMS and Mailers.
